use my technical skills, and its focus not only on disease but on health. What I love about Urogynecology in particular is that the field is constantly evolving and therefore I am constantly learning.

Every day I learn from the women who come to see me. Pelvic floor problems can profoundly affect many facets of a woman’s life, and each woman copes with these problems in different ways. From planning excursions around restrooms, avoiding certain activities, to coping with bowel issues, pelvic discomfort and sexual dysfunction, each woman is unique. Each woman therefore requires and deserves an individualized approach.

Similarly, I learn from colleagues, in my specialty and in other fields.   I work closely with other pelvic floor experts at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center including specialists in Gynecology, Urology, Colorectal Surgery, Gastroenterology, and Rehabilitation Medicine. We offer integrated care, as well as educational conferences geared towards other physicians and women in the community.

My annual travels to Africa are another indispensable part of my education. Working in West Africa not only gives me a unique perspective to the problems women face in the US and abroad, but the damage these women have sustained during childbirth challenges the most experienced and brilliant surgeons.

It is with this backdrop of experience, commitment, and real enjoyment of my profession that I venture into private practice. It is my goal to offer leading-edge, comprehensive and customized care in an efficient, compassionate and comfortable environment.
