If you’ve found your way here, you or someone you care about is probably one of the
millions of women suffering from pelvic floor problems. Whether it’s urinary incontinence or
pelvic organ prolapse, it’s not just a matter of inconvenience—pelvic floor disorders directly
affect a woman’s quality of life.
Most people don’t consider the complexity of the anatomy (structure) and physiology
(function) in the pelvic region until there’s a problem. This intricate and vitally important
area of our body allows for urination, defecation, sexual intercourse and childbirth. In the
past, women with pelvic floor problems experienced fragmented and inadequate care, by
multiple physicians in different fields of medicine. Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive
Surgery is a relatively-new specialty dedicated exclusively to the care of women with pelvic
floor disorders and I am proud to be a part of this exciting field.
Being one of a handful of physicians in the LA area practicing exclusively Urogynecology, I am thrilled to
offer comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services to women with pelvic floor disorders. Therapeutic
options can include anything from pelvic floor rehabilitation, behavioral methods, and medications, to
a variety of surgical procedures (vaginal, abdominal, or laparoscopic). I understand that every woman
is different in terms of her personal history, symptoms, concerns, and pelvic anatomy. Treatment must
therefore be customized to these factors and to each woman’s desired outcome. This is my mission and
my passion.
